I was just reading an article by the Today Show about wearing wedding bands (apparently Prince William doesn't have one... didn't know that!). So I'm just curious [Poll]
He has a fake one that he wears at work - it breaks easily so he's not injured on the job. He only wears his real ring on special occasions or when he thinks about it, which is almost never. It doesn't bother me at all.

DH always wears it, with the exception of the times he loses it down the chair or couch because he was playing with it. If DH had a job where it was dangerous to wear it (farming, etc) then I would not have any problem with him not wearing it.
I thought none of the royal men wore wedding rings? Seems like I remember hearing it wasn't standard for them.
DH wears his ring whenever he leaves the house, but we both take our rings and watches off the minute we walk in the door at home unless we are entertaining. So he actually wears his more than I do mine.

The Today Show article led me to another article which said "Most male royals, including Prince Edward (left), do wear a wedding ring of some kind, with the exception of the Duke of Edinburgh (right)"
DH pretty much never takes his ring off. He works in construction and although he is in an office now he used to wear it when he was out in the field too. The majority of the guys that work for him don't wear their rings to work for safety reasons. DH said he felt like it was important for him to wear and I said ok. He also wears it when we're working cows and roping.
Mamajan- where are you at in Northern CA?
The Today Show article talked about a football player who wears his ring all the time, very uncommon in that profession - like your DH!
I'm on the peninsula - Stanford/Palo Alto area. Milking cows and roping... sounds like you're further north. Sac area?
He wore his all the time until he lost it. He was clearing snow off our car and had lost a bit of weight and it flew off, but we didn't realize it until later. Since it's NYC by the time the snow melted the ring was long gone . For his graduation in May I'm hoping to replace it for him.
Dh's ring is too big and can't be resized so he doesn't wear it. It doesn't bother me. I told him we could get another one but he doesn't really care to and that's fine by me.
DH is an aircraft mechanic and is not allowed to wear it at work. That being said, he has already managed to lose it. Well, lose it is the wrong phrase. When DD was in the NICU it was stolen. He took it off to wash his hands and set it on the lip of the sink. He forgot to put it back on when he was done. When he went back 5 min later it was gone. He asked the front desk every few days for the next 2 months and no one turned it in. People amaze me. He is getting it tattooed on after Christmas.
DH wears his ring every day. On his way to work one day he realized he hadn't put it back on after his shower. He actually drove home to get it and was late for work. Completely unnecessary but totally sweet!

This is us too. Back in June, he was doing something in the garage and took it off because he didn't want to scratch it. Well, he put his platinum ring on the back of my silver car, forgot it was there, I drove off to run some errands, and got a panicky phone call a half hour later, asking if I had seen his ring. We are replacing it soon, so for now he doesn't, but for the last 6.5 years he did every single day.
When he worked in a shipping warehouse he always left it in the car because it never felt right under his gloves. Now that he has more of a "professional" job he leaves it on 24/7.
DH always wears his and has yet to need to take it off. We made sure it is an easily cut-able (if that's not a word I apologize) metal because he is military and could end up needing it removed.
Currently going through our second deployment. Can't wait for Zoe to meet her daddy!
DH's wedding band used to be his grandfathers who died. Right before we got married his mom and mamaw gave it to him, it is actully slightly to big for him and we need to get it re sized and still have not DH wears it on his ring finger for special occasions but on his middle finger at work so it is a tighter fit. Kindof funny actually.... but he NEVER takes it off. Not even to shower. He says it is to special to risk lossing since it has two meanings to him. But if he worked a dangerous job I would encourage him to take it off for work.
My husband wears his ring all the time unless he's at work, then its on his id badge. He works in the Operating Room so they cant have any jewlery on. Sometimes he' forgets his ring at work in his locker so I always joke that "he's divorced for the night"...just because he has a huge ring tattoo from being married for over 7 years! haha He wants to get a tattoo on his ring finger but he cant due to the military not letting him have more then 2 weeks off at a time...if he has a fresh tattoo he cant scrub in...oh well! It really doesnt bother me since we've been together for almost 11 years
For the first few years we were married he never took it off. Over the years he's gained weight and it got tight so he hasn't worn it for several years. I want to get him a new band but it's not a priority. He know's he's married and I don't worry about him straying. He's too intimidated by women to do anything!

He doesn't like wearing it at work and doesn't always wear it when he is off, he will remember for special occasions. But I don't wear mine a ton either. I couldn't wear it at work and now that I SAH I don't always think about putting it on.
He has one, which he now wears everyday. Never takes it off.
This is his second wedding band though. The first one, the one we used for our actual ceremony & the one that's engraved was lost. We had since instituted a policy that if he loses his ring again then we're off to the tattoo parlor.
i answered no. he used to play with his all the time, constantly dropping it, and he finally (not surprisingly) lost it. he found it really uncomfortable/tight but at some point we'll prob try to find him another one. it's not a priority, but it would be nice to find one that he is comfortable wearing.
Re: CP: does your husband wear a wedding band?
SS? He doesnt for work, but forgets a lot too. lol.
I don't really care.

DH can not have metal where he works unless he wants to donate it to a magnet.
