Baby Shower Recap & Pics

The baby shower I threw yesterday for my BFF was a hit! We had 31 guests and they all seemed to have a really good time.

DH and I made silver dollar pancakes stacks with raspberries on top and syrup on the side. We also had three cheese mini-souffles, cranberry scones, almond coffee cake, peppermint white fudge pretzels, a massive fruit salad, and a hot pink vanilla custard cake.

I made a trivia game about my BFF's first year from a journal her mom kept, it was fun and cute. I gave a hot-chocolate gift basket as the prize for the winner.

We decorated onesies, bibs, and washcloths with iron-on transfers. Some were super girly and flowery and some were Army-brat themed because my friend's DH is joining the army a month after their LO is born.

She got a TON of gifts, lots of clothes and toys and supplies, and her mom made her a gorgeous quilt! I got her some things off her registry and also taught myself how to crochet and made her a beanie and a blanket!

DH took pics and watched Jackson at the same time so he didn't get pics of the food or cake, but I made a photobucket album to share some of the ones he took. Check it out!

Good job! It all looks and sounds great! I have to ask though did anyone get messed up by DST and show up early? For some reason after reading your post I couldn't stop wondering that.

A few people actually showed up 1/2 hour early. Not because of the time change, but because they just like to show up early. :P It was a little unnerving because we weren't ready yet, but they actually helped us put up some balloons outside. lol

I never know what to do with the early birds! It makes me sweat when they start showing up that early. Glad they helped out some though!

Thanks everyone! It was nice to have my hard work pay off. I did the majority of the work for it before I got sick, I actually decorated all the favor boxes the very night I got sick. I still have a cough and get tired easily, but I feel a million times better!

I know you were stressed out about the baby shower and you did a fantasic job, your friend is lucky to have you. You did a great job on the blanket and hat both of them are really cute. Yay for your dh for helping what a great guy!

Awesome job! I've only done one shower myself (bridal) but I know how much work it is. I know you were stressed but now you can sit back and revel in your accomplishment (and hope you don't have to give a shower for anyone else! LOL)
