    *If we're splitting hairs, DS was 5 months and 4 weeks, but not quite 6 months. I clicked 6 months because it was closer to that, though.

    Baby Led Weaning, also called Baby Led Solids.  To over simplify: you skip cereals and purees and go straight to table foods.

    I voted for 6 months, we haven't started yet.  I did try some purees a week ago, and he had no interest, so I am waiting to start BLW at 6 months.  He is just not interested in food at the moment.


    His three plus my one; we are all excited to welcome a little one!

    This. We tried cereal Saturday and he hated it. So we'll wait a couple more weeks to start BLW at 6 mo.

    Another for "voted 6 months but we haven't actually started". 

    I'd really like her to be able to sit on her own unassisted (for longer than 10 seconds) before we start BLW. I've noticed a significant decrease in her tongue thrust reflex this week, so as soon as sitting seems secure, we will try. Note: I really don't want to start solids and am happy with things the way they are! No rush!

    We were going to start at 6 months, but DD started reaching and shoving things in her mouth. She showed us she was ready at 5.5 months. She literally only wants what we're eating, she has to see us remove from our plates that we've been eating from and give it to her or she's not interested.
