Recs for bath towels?

I desperately need some new bathroom towels. I have tried Kohls and some from bed, bath, and beyond, but they all do not seem to last more than a year or two. I would really like some that would last for at least 3 I've decided to ask for some for Christmas, so would love some recs for towels that will last!

We just got some really nice ones from Target, we haven't had them long, but so far they are great and really big and oversized like we like them.

We have these and they have held up really nicely. We got them about 4 years ago and are still in good shape. I have gotten cheaper "stand ins" from linen and things and those have already bitten the dust.

All I can think is "What on earth are you doing to your towels that they only last a year or two!?!??!

I've got towels from when I was in college 15 years ago that are still going strong, and they were just the super cheapies from Walmart!!! I wash them in as warm of water as my washer lets me and they're still going strong.

I'd still say BBB or someplace like JC Penny...

I don't know what brand you got at Kohls, but we have had the Chaps towels for nearly three years, and they are holding up really nicely. I would definitely buy them again.

I was going to whole heartedly recommend the Thomas O'Brien towels from Target, but they recently changed them and the new ones aren't as soft or plush. So, I can't. But their higher quality ones feel about the same as what the TOB ones did before the change. I think it's like Fieldcrest or something.

The ones that we got from Macys for our wedding (July 07) are still going strong. I don't remember the exact name, but I think it was something like "hotel".

I will ONLY buy bath towels from Macy's 'Hotel Collection'

I buy them in white-

LOVE LOVE LOVE them.

Only towels I will ever buy.

They are going on 6 yrs (and i wash them in bleach)

I buy ours at JCPenney. We've had them 5 years and wash after every use and they're just starting to fray a little bit this year. I bought them pretty cheap at one of those early bird sales before Christmas.

The Target Home spa collection towels are great, hold up, and stay soft for a long time. And, they are very well priced, IMO.
