Taking LO to play

It is at a children's theater so I am not concerned about that, but it is based on a kids book - do you think it would be wise to get the book soon so she knows the story ?  Or am I thinking too much. She is 3.

    Yes I would get the stories first. We have taken DS to a theater a few times and having a frame of reference for the story makes a big difference. Check your library for the books you want.

    DD went to Harold and the Purple Crayon at the children's theater and was scared. She wasn't expecting them to turn the lights out, the music was a little loud, and parts of it were a little scary (a life sized crab!).  She's usually scared of nothing, so I was shocked when I found out she sat in a teacher's lap for part of it.  It was a good experience for her and I'd take her again any time, but wanted to let you know what scared her so you could prep your LO.

    I think it helps when the kids know the story.
