FYI: Babies R Us bedding sets with bumpers

Just thought I would let you all know.  Babies R Us sells bedding sets (one of which I registered for) that include the quilt, sheet, bumper and dust ruffle (or something like that.)  I had registered for one anyway and just thought I would pitch the bumper.  

We went to Babies R Us today to pick up the crib mattress and noticed that they had repackaged all of the pre-packaged bedding sets.  They no longer include bumpers.  They have the bedding set (and have replaced the bumper with an extra fitted sheet and a valance, or something) and now sell the bumpers separate.

I just thought I would let you guys know in case you were thinking of registering for or buying a bedding set and decided not to because of the bumper.

    When I was at Burrlington Coat factory the associate told me they are starting to redo bedding sets. I am glad to hear it! Thanks for the post.

    Thanks for the info! I was thinking of not registering for a bedding set for that reason, but may re-think it now. :)

    I was just there today showing my mom the set I registered for and they hadn't done this yet. Interesting to know though I'll have to keep an eye out for the change. I did register for a breathable bumper to match though, they are safe for newborns.

    No, at least not mine.  I think that is because they added stuff in to take the place of the bumper.

    That's awesome!  It's nice that you can get the extra sheet and the valance that you would be probably buying anyway instead of something you probably wouldn't use!

    That is awesome! Hopefully they update the products online with the new contents. I wanted the quilt so the kid could have it once they were older, but I couldn't care less about the bumper.

    I ordered bedding from Babies R Us approximately 2 weeks ago and mine came in with the bumper.  Still not sure whether to use it or not, but they must have changed this pretty recently.
