Parenting after a Loss

is it bad???

OK so today I had a lil freak out and went to Target and brought a box of 5 pregnancy test, so I could take one once a week till I have my 1st ultrasound on Dec 1st?? Its 24 days away and that is WAY too long for me. Since my DH is deployed and I'm having to do the single parent to my LO, so I'm having to be the one who is always picking her up and carrying her and is weighs 29lbs so its not like she is light or in my weight limits right now. And I feel bad for her cause I start to freak every time I have to carry her but I love my LO and dont want her to think something ya know.  I guess Im just starting the crazy prego brain!

  • Picking up your baby is not going to hurt your pregnancy. I peed on sticks until I ran of them. I think that's normal for PGAL.

  • Lifting the baby wont hurt you. the 20lb limit is placed for those who are having complications. I worked in a daycare all throughout my pregnancy with DD and I lifted upwards of 50lbs every day.

As for the sticks. DH told me that was what the dollar store tests were for

    Yep.

  • If peeing on things helps you calm the crazies, go for it.

  • Unless your OB gives you instructions otherwise for a specific issue picking up your 29lb LO will not do any harm. DD is about the same size and it really only worries me when I have to carry the groceries and her all at the same time.

As far as POASing I think it's perfectly normal to want to pee on them until your u/s. I also peed until I ran out of them.
