We're still on baby watch! I didn't make a lot of cute lunches this week because I've been spending lots of time out of the house, enjoying my last few days with just my big girl! This is the last of the Halloween lunches - a shame, since they're so easy! PIP your cute lunches here!
Excuse the bad lighting, this was Halloween breakfast (and we eat early!). Homemade strawberry poptart (I got the cutter from Williams-Sonoma) with a hard-to-see powdered sugar bat, a side of Greek yogurt and some apple cider. I forgot to buy Halloween napkins this year, so we had Mardi Gras instead. I stuck foam stickers on the straw for another fun detail.
Halloween lunch. Sandwich with cheese cutout on top (the facial features are punched out of nori) with a homemade pick. Purple grapes in a spider container, tomatoes on a pick and a "fire" of carrots inside of cucumbers. The night before, I had DD draw pumpkin faces on clear plastic cups and poured orange jello in them.
The day after Halloween lunch. DD, who had her first sucker the night before, got the surprise of her life when I put another one in her lunch. The sandwich contains leftover meatloaf and I cut strips of cheese on top to make him into a mummy. Then I got the terrible idea to put it in the microwave for 5 seconds to help the cheese soften a tiny bit. Instead, it just turned sweaty - eww. : ( Grapes, another cucumber/carrot "fire" (I hollowed out the bottom cucumber this time and put a dab of dip in there) and a few pretzel sticks.

I followed the instructions on the box for this, my first batch, except I cheated and used store-bought pie crust because I just wanted to see how it worked. Mine have good strawberry preserves and thin strawberry slices inside, and the other batch has lemon curd. Next time, I'll make my own crust.
