Which fertility specialist to see?

Has anyone been to either Dr. Gerry Letterie or Dr. Lori Marshall in Seattle? Pros, cons?

Thanks!

Re: Which fertility specialist to see?

  • We see Dr Marshall for this round and saw her 3 yrs ago multiple times for our 1st.  Love PNWF & Dr Marshall.

  • I saw Dr. Letterie at the beginning of our IF process and we did not care for him. Nothing I can pinpoint, I just didn't like him. We ended up going with University Reproductive Clinic at the UW and loved the experience there.

  • I've never heard Dr Letterie called Gerry before this!!  haha  We went through NCRS (now SRM) for all of our IF needs, and saw Letterie a few times.  I preferred Drs Kennedy and Opsahl, but Dr Letterie did a few of my procedures.  Dr Kennedy and Dr Opsahl are awesome.  I liked Letterie enough, but didn't click as well as with the other 2.  Now that NCRS is part of SRM (*grumble grumble*), I'm not sure which office they each work in or where procedures are done.

  • Our main doctor at PNWF was Dr. Lora Shahine, but we also saw Dr. Marshall a couple times. Everyone at the clinic was very friendly, welcoming and made us always feel comfortable. The entire staff there is wonderful. We went through 8 IUIs unsuccessfully and finally on successful IVF. I highly recommend them!

In fact Dr. Marshall was the one who performed the IVF as Dr. Shahine was out so we certainly recommend her! Big Smile

  • I haven't seen either person, so can't help. But I am hijacking the post to let everyone know an infertility GTG is scheduled for brunch on Nov. 19. Not sure where yet, but if you're interested, contact me and we'll schedule off-line. I'm krosetoes328 (at) yahoo (dot) com.

  • I saw Dr. Marshall.  If I had my choice, I would have chosen Dr. Sahine but she was not available when we needed her.  Good luck to you!
