Austin Babies

**caglebaby**

Just wanted to check and see if you guys have any answers yet and if the formula has helped at all? I remembered on that show 19 kids and counting that their baby was allergic to her moms bm and they ended up switching to a special formula and said it made all the difference, I hope that is the case with you! Anyways, just thinking about you and hope it's getting better!

Re: **caglebaby**

  • Hope she is doing better too. Just wanted to say in case you missed my message that you can always talk to me if you need to - we went through a LOT of the same things with our daughter at that age. M is now a happy healthy toddler who can eat anything.

We also had to do the special formula (she was put on Elecare formula - which we had to order from the manufacturer...about $200 for six 14oz cans!) - no matter what I cut out of my diet M couldn't take breastmilk.

It took more than a weekend - our GI doc said it can take up to two weeks for a baby's body to get rid of what might be bothering them if it is a problem with what they are eating.

I promise it does get easier - and it really was the darkest right before it got better.

so far we have not seen a change for the better yet. We have noticed the she is spitting up a bit nore, but it has only been 24hrs so we are still waiting to see. I can't wait for her to be better and be back at home.

I wanted to email you but my phone was giving me problems and I wasn't able to get to a computer. I would love to hear more about what worked for yall. Your story sound so much like ours. Feel free to email me at                 shari cagle 0 1 @ hotmail .com  of course no spaces.
  • You may benefit from posting on the food allergy board. There are lots of moms over there with kids on special formulas. I hope things turn around soon!
