I am looking over all of our pictures trying to pick the ones that best describe DH and I and our family. I want the birthmom to see who we really and truly are, therefor we will have a better chance of getting matched with the right person. I do have a question about the front picture. The main picture, the one that is on the very top of our portfolio....big decision for this picture. I am not sure if I should use one of our many, many goofy pics or if I should get some professional family pictures taken of DH, me and the puppies. What do you think? Goofy, normal us or should we go ahead and get some professionals taken? TIA!!!!!
Re: Portfolio Pics
We just had some photographs taken with this in mind. I did hire a professional photographer, but we had them taken in my parents yard with our dog. I explained to the photographer what they were for and that I wanted them very casual...so she basically set us up in a pose and then told us to interact with each other....I haven't seen them yet, but I'm hoping they look casual and not too posed!! I also did this because I wanted a nice picture for Christmas cards...and our dog is 9 years old and I'm always worried that this could be her last year and so I wanted some nice family pics with her in it
I agree with pp, I wouldn't go too goofy with the picture.

Most people/agencies discourage professional pictures for profiles. They want the birthfamily to see you as you are, not posed for a photo.
That being said, I wouldn't go for goofy either. I'd go for a nice snapshot you have of you together.
