Pregnany and medicine question

I have a horrible cold right now. I know you can take regular tylenol for headaches. Does that mean that everything in the Tylenol family is safe? Meaning can I take Tylenol severe cold PM's tonight? Thanks!

Re: Pregnany and medicine question

  • Yes.  You can take any Tylenol brand cold meds according to my dr. while preg.

You can take Sudafed as well, but only for a 3 day duration.

    Hope you feel better soon!

  • I've heard different things, but the only thing my doc approved for me was regular tylenol for headaches, sudafed or chlortrimeton (sp??) or benedryl for sinuses, and plain robitussin for cough.
  • I think the multi symptom stuff has too much in it. The 2 ingredient one is alright, but I think it's just benadryl and tylenol. What cold symptoms are you having?
  • When I was pregnant I had a cold so I took Tylenol & cold med. before I talked to the doc(it was a weekend) When I talked to him the next day he told me that it wasnt good to take that kind when your pregnant.
