I found out about this free class over the weekend. It sounds like a good class from what I have read, if anyone wants to join me.

Training Title: I See What You Are Saying: Using Visual Strategies to Promote Children?s Independence, Participation and Understanding.
Training Description: Do you use lists to help you stay organized or a calendar to help you remember appointments? These are some examples of visual strategies that help us with our daily routines. Many people are visual learners, yet a great deal of our communication with children is done verbally. This workshop will explore various types and uses of visual strategies to help all children understand daily routines and take part in activities more independently.
Training Date: December 2, 2011 from 9:30 to noon
Audience: OST line staff and staff supervisors
Re: Speech Therapists, & Emmie B
That sounds awesome! I wish it weren't in SF on a Saturday in December -- that has scheduling and parking conflict written all over it!
I've had "make a daily schedule for DS" on my to do list for a month. His teachers use a felt pictures to discuss their day at school and I know DS loves it.
It is a Friday. As for parking and stuff, I agree a PITA!
that could be interesting...I wonder if I could get Baz to sit through it (probably not)
I plan on getting him this either for Christmas or his birthday:

I have so many daily schedule things laminated around our house. The trick is actually using them!

Like what? I would love to see what kind of things you have, and copy them if you wouldn't mind.
I have a lot from her:

and I have some for Tot School (homeschooling)
and then I have a weekly menu and a few other printables from here:

sorry, I can't make them clicky on the chrome.
I'm also using the "Get ready for christmas" printables from here:
