James Edward is here! birth story

James Edward was born on his due date, November 2! He was 20 inches long and was 8lbs and 7 oz.

I started having contractions on November 1 at 4 pm. I waited thinking that they would stop like they had the day before. At 8 pm DH and I headed for the hospital, where I was checked and was 5 to 6 cm dilated. I was admitted and a IV lock was put in as I did not want IV fluids. I labored using the birthing ball and walking.My water broke during a check at 2:45 I was still measuring 6 cm. At 4:30 I felt the urge to push and the doctor was called. I began pushing at 5 and James was born at 5:20.He is my only child to have hair!
