Is the name of a reporter in the area I used to live.

Proof

I just wanted to share his pretty awful sounding name. Either of these names on their own wouldn't be bad (maybe NMS but not horrible) but together its just odd. I always think about this guy when people bring up how weird names will be looked over on resumes.

My 2 girls, both born on a Friday the 13th, are exactly 2 years, 2 months, 2 hours and 2 minutes apart! And Baby Boy joined us October 11, 2013! image

    It's awful-sounding to the "American" ear. The name Ferdinand is common and the guy is most likely German.

    Like I said, Ferdinand Smith, or Micheal Zogbaum dont sound so zany but the two together are weird sounding. On their own NMS (not that there a lot of debate for a last name!) but together it is one odd name to purposely give your kid.

    The last name is unusual, but I don't really see the problem. My husband has a Ferdinand in his family (Uncle Fernie); I think it's a great name.

    Awful is IMO so I shouldn't have said that, its NMS but I usually do like unusual but real names. I think the two unusual names together create a weird name.

    This is awful.  Poor guy.  You would think with a last name like Zogbaum the parents would throw him a bone and name his Christopher or Michael.
