Englishmajor re: Bloomin onion bread

I tried it tonight.  I only used about half of the amount of cheese because apparently I can't read and didn't buy enough.  It didn't taste like I thought it would, but it was really really good.  I made some basic spinach, bean, and kielbasa soup to go with it and they seemed to go well together.  I had a little trouble cutting the bread, but I switched to kitchen shears and that seemed to help.

    Good!  My DH was concerned about the 1/2 cup of butter.  Did you use the 1/2 cup or did you do a little less?  Do you think it would be alright w/ just 1/4 cup?

    I used the whole half cup.  I used margarine instead of butter.  It was a little soggy in parts, so you can probably cut back without any problems.
