I was doing great with my pregnancy and in the last week or 2, I've hit a wall that is worrying me. I saw my doctor on Tuesday, he said everything looked fine and dandy. My little one was constantly moving before, now he's slowed down a LOT. I barely get the 10 kick counts you're supposed to get, and some days I don't get all the way up to 10 (was told it was okay as long as I did the next day). I feel constant nausea again (oh joy) and there is just general discomfort. When I brought all this up, I was told it was normal, I'm great, baby's heart beat is great, and he's right on track with growth.
Anyone else have a complete overhaul their 3rd trimester? I think I just need reassurance from other women at this point. I thought I had the pregnancy thing down; I was at the gym a lot and eating SUPER healthy. Now I can barely get up from the couch without feeling like my chest is being crushed and cooking is out of the question (I should walk around with a nose plug).
Re: Hit the 3rd tri and feel completely different...
I wonder if you're having a hormone surge and your body is adjusting to the new weight and all the fun stuff going on with your body.
When you are concerned that you can't feel him, drink some water (ice water works for me) and lay down. OJ works great too.
Take it easy and listen to your body...my energy comes and goes.
I am right there with you. I had been having a pretty easy time up until this week and was wondering what everyone was complaining about with their aches and pains. Then on Monday I was super hungry and thirsty, I just could not stop drinking water and I swear I gained like 3 lbs! I think baby had a huge growth spurt but it made me feel so achy and terrible. My lower pelvis felt like I had been kicked and the muscles at the top of my abdomen under my ribs felt so sore and stretched it hurt just to sit in my chair at work.
Now that it has been a few days I am feeling better, so I think once your body stretches and makes a little more room things even out. I was freaked out that this was how I was going to feel for the next three months!
I things ease up and you start to feel better!
That's what worries me.... I tried that. I drank cold water, took a 5 minute walk, changed positions, everything I could think of, and he won't move. 2 weeks ago it was a morning and night, clockwork thing. I could feel him and enjoyed the activity. Now, I have to literally push on my belly to get a kick from him, and after that one kick he's done.

I figured that would be the case, but I'll go all day without movement... rolls or anything.
I thought he'd slow down, but not THIS much. Should I just not worry? When do I go in for a check to make sure he's okay?
How long has he been moving less? Babies sleep alot during growth spurts- which might be why your doc isn't worried, if its only been a few days.
As for feeling crummy- i think that's the hallmark of the 3rd trimester!
