Which Vitamins Do You Take?

Wondering if I'm missing anything.

What do you take?

  • I take a chewable prenatal vitamin because I am 7 years old, lol!  No really I am 99% more likely to take it every day if it's chewable.
  • Before I start any sort of supplementing I first have a panel run with my endo...  Some vitamins can cause some crazy-nasty side effects if you OD on them...

That said, if you're taking D and B12, those are two that if you're low there can be a marker of auto-immune problems involving the thyroid as well...  Hence, why I have my endo run the vitamin panels and have them redone every year to make sure I'm not over or under supplementing.  I also am on high-dose Vitamin D (prescription) just to maintain a normal reading.

  • A multivitamin and vit D and beta carotene due to deficiency/malabsorption.

I used to take fish oil but I stopped because I couldn't stand the fish burps, even with the "odorless" pills.

  • Just prenatals and they seem to have a little bit of everything.

  • prenatal or multi vitamin, DHA or flax/omega 3s, & probiotics
  • Prenatal, fish oil & evening primrose oil, B complex (I only take this a few times a week because it makes me break out. I wouldn't take it at all but I'm 98% vegan so my doc was concerned about B12).

I occasionally take a probiotic as well.

  • Prenatal and a DHA supplement.
  • I just take a prenatal and a calcium with vitamin D supplement.

  • I just take a regular multivitamin.  When I feel a tickle in my throat, I also take vitamin C and Eucinacea to prevent a cold (and that has been working well for me for several years now!)

I could never take a lot of vitamins.  It's difficult enough on me to take the multivitamin - I have to make sure and take it with a big meal, sometime before it gets too late in the evening - otherwise I will puke.  I have a weak/sensitive stomach and taking pills (any pills) makes me nauseous.
