photogs: help? (pregnancy pics)

A friend of mine up here is due in a few weeks and asked if I'd help her get some last minute pics of her belly and of her and her 2 year old with the belly.  This is her 4th and last baby and she didn't have time/$ to get a pro, but wants some decent pictures to remember this time.  Eek.  I know she's not expecting me to be a pro (duh) but I want to help her get some sweet shots.  Can you suggest or link me to some ideas and tips?

    Another tip I read said remove all tight-fitting clothing a few hours before so she won't have red imprints.  Who would have thought of that?!

    I am not a professional, but I do love taking pictures. So, these suggestions are offered from my amateur/I just like to take photos position.

    We did some amateur home photography, and if she is a bit lumpy and bumpy even while pregnant (which I am), it was really helpful to carefully position hands and arms to camoflauge the bumpy bits. A carefully arranged, pulled down out of the way se cr et belly panel also covered up some of the lumpy bits. I was surprised to have a presentable bare belly picture from doing this.

    I took pictures weekly in the same sideways pose in the same location, and it is very cool to see just what I looked like in profile. 

    I also did a picture with DD #2 on her due date in the same sideways pose, except by then she was an outside baby.

    Obviously, you can't do weekly belly pictures at this point, but you could pose her sideways and then come back after the baby is born and take the same show with the baby over her belly.

    For both pregnancies, we did a tripod timer couple (#1)/ family (#2) photo shortly before I was due. It might be nice to round up the kids and DH and take a family photo where Mom's belly shows.
