So I mentioned last week that I had my HSG and that even after the Dr (other dr at my RE's practice) used a wire to try to open it, my left tube was deemed blocked.
I met with my RE yesterday and he said that he doesn't believe that the other dr should have tried to use the wire (less than qualified perhaps??), and that he thinks it was just spasming and wants me to be sedated with an interventional radiologist to try again to open it. He said he believes it was spasming bc dye would not go down the tube at all and usually a tube is blocked mid way to the end, and not at the beginning.
Anyone have any experience with this?
Re: HSG with interventional radiologist?
no direct experience, but my dh works as an x-ray tech with interventional radiologists. from our perspective, they are very good with much experience doing tricky procedures. imo, if it might work and you have had no problems with sedation before then it is worth a shot.
good luck finding a solution that is right for you!
Praying unceasingly for a miracle. ALL welcome!
