    I come from a big family and my parents are divorced and remarried so there's a lot.  Plus I don't live near them.  I think at last count 76.  If I didn't have to include all of the cousins and people like that it would be a lot less.  Everyone gets a personal note too.

    In the past 4 years we've been married, I've always ordered 100 cards, and had about 2-3 left over.  DH's parents have a LOT of friends that we send cards to, because they are all suuuuper close family friends, they've thrown me a bridal shower, baby showers, etc.  and they just love to keep up with us, so that's a big chunk of our list.  Plus, several of DH's salesmen, customers and former co-workers are on the list too.  The rest is family and close friends of ours. 

    We won't be cutting back this year, mainly because of the baby due right around Christmas.  I'm hoping he'll come early enough to merge his birth announcement with the Christmas card, but if not, it will have to be an "after-Christmas/New Year's/Birth Announcement" card.  I sure don't want to do 2 different mailings for Christmas cards and birth announcements, and pay postage on both!
