NBR: Anyone ever use restaurant.com?

Eversave has a deal for a Target gc for $25 and a $50 restaurant.com gc for $26.  So it's a pretty good deal, but I've never done restaurant.com so I'm wondering if there are usually any catches.  Even if I use it as a Christmas gift, it's a pretty cheap one. Here's a link.

  • Jer and I have gotten a restaurant.com GC before, the only catch with it, (at least that we have found) is that there aren't many options for restaurants.  We are always able to find at least one place to use the GC, but it's usually a place we don't frequent often.

  • I gave some of the restaurant.com gc's as additional christmas gifts last year. It was a nice added bonus and didn't cost much at all.  Everyone used theirs and loved it. There is some fine print for some of them, like alcohol isn't included in the total etc, but it wasn't a big deal for my family.
  • Those were the kind of catches that I had seen, or spending a certain amount at a place.  But for a $1 for $50 worth of food, I'm thinking I'll probably just bite and get it.  It is kind of limited on restaurants around here but there's a couple of good ones.

  • I've used it before. A coworker told me that they will have 80% or 90% off sales, and I ended up getting a $25 GC for about $3. You have to get it for the specific restaurant, and sometimes there's an expiration date, but it's usually a year after it's printed/purchased.
