ok, but seriously, get some of those wine toppers that lock down and create a tight seal and you should be good for an extra few days. Don't try to reuse the cork it came with.
I am the only one who drinks wine in this house and I have the wine sealers that suck the air out and seem to keep things fresh for both the red and white wine. I only refrigerate my white wine.
If it's red, I don't put it in the fridge. Just seal it well and leave it on the counter. Drink it within a few days though. If it's white, you can pop it in the fridge.
