Postpartum Depression

I have no idea what i have....(somewhat of a vent but need advice as well)

OK so here it goes...:

I dont live with my DH sadly (money cut backs) and we both had to move in with our families. We hav no car and its a 3 1/2 city bus ride just to get to the other persons house. Our DD is only 3 weeks so we cant risk taking her on a city bus right now. The only time he come in my side of town is to go to work 3 days a week and 1 day to stay the night with us.... Now he has to start working longer hours and more days so now our DD and I will pretty much never see him. When he is in town at night he goes out to clubs with his friends and it freaks me out. Plus when he stays the night and I ask him to hold our DD so i can go make her a bottle he gets angry with me and it feels like our DD picks up on the vibes. Then when i get sad he gets mad at himself for me being sad and says i have ppd.... Could it be PPD or am I just overly stressed and overwhelmed???

  • I think you're very stressed, but it can easily lead to depression. I'm sorry you're in such a tough spot right now :(

  • I think it is more stress and situational. As PP said, the type of sever stress you are under could easily lead to depression. Will the situation be lightening up in the foreseeable future? We ladies are resilient but not impermeable.

He keeps on saying it'll get better but everytime something good comes up it gets 5 times worse...like he may be working more but it'll still be maybe even a year before we can even afford a studio apartment....
