Okay what am I doing wrong?
Normally I wear the baby in a carrier when grocery shopping, but we were just doing a quick trip today so I left her in the carseat. I know you're not supposed to put the carseat on top of the cart, but it wouldn't fit IN the cart either. It was just a regular sized HEB cart, am I supposed to be grabbing a different one? I managed to shove it in there diagonally so it was mostly in the cart but the bottom of the carseat wasn't touching the bottom of the cart.
I have a Graco snug ride if that matters
Re: Grocery shopping/ carseat question
did you have the "purse" area opened? I've found with the HEB carts (since they have the produce basket in the very front), you have to keep that area closest to you closed so that the car seat will fit in the basket. and by "purse area", I mean the part where the older kids sit.
Make sure you get the double seater carts they are wider
you still won't get much in there, but I used to put a red basket under the cart to put stuff in
