anyone dealt with pbk and backorder?

I want to order my niece the ungry caterpillar bedding for xmas. The comforter is on backorder until December 11th. Are they pretty reliable with their dates? I would hate to not have it in time for Christmas, it's expensive and it's going to be her only gift from us. Experiences?

I ordered the anywhere chair for DD for Christmas and it said backordered to 10/31, it showed up on 10/13.

Ordered the anywhere chair in August and was told it was backordered until the beginning of September. The chair didn't arrive until October.

I also ordered the anywhere chair for DD and I can't remember the exact dates but it was on backorder and ended up being shipped either a few days before the date they said or on the same date so I would think they are pretty reliable but with Christmas coming, I'm not sure if I would really want to risk it.. I can just imagine the amount of orders going to be put through...
