Advantages to splitting up the kids preschool times.

I know not many of you are at this point yet, but I wanted to mention it anyway.  I originally wanted them going to school at the same time, but it wasn't an option.  Now, B goes to school twice a week in the morning and Ty goes everyday in the afternoon.  I do feel a bit like a Taxi, but I love having one on one time with each kid a couple times a week.  We do one on one time on the weekends every so often, but it is nice to have it in regular intervals during the week.  Especially with my little guy going off to school full day next yr :-(

This morning Ty and I went to story time just the two of us, some mornings we go out to breakfast, other days we just come home and hang out.  I love it, he loves it.  And B loves her school because it is HERS and not something she shares.  I feel so well rounded with how it worked out.  I never would have thought of it.  Just some food for thought for the future.

  • I love my one on one time with Paul in the mornings while Charlie is at school. And now that C is only napping a few times a week, I get some one-on-one time with him in the afternoons while P naps which is great because usually on the weekends Charlie is stuck to DH like glue so we barely get any time just the 2 of us.

  • It is definitely VERY important to have one on one time with each kid.  I already miss having that with my 4.5 year old, since she goes to preschool but her little sister does not.  Of course we spend time together when little sister naps, but I miss things like going to the bagel store and having lunch together.

This is how I expect my days to be like soon! I can't wait to do things with Leah - but I'm gonna miss Evan soooo much!

I swear I feel like I've gotten to "know" Paul so much more the past 2 months. I hope that doesn't make me sound like a bad mom... but usually things are geared toward the older child & the younger one kind of tags along. Having the one-on-one time with Paul has made me love his little personality even more :)
