I think M inherited my problem with jeans. I put her new Carters 2T jeans on her this morning (her 24month ones are too small) and they are totally gapping in the back around the waistband, but fit everywhere else.
Her old jeans were elastic around the waste (classy) and these are not. Has anyone else had this problem before? Are there some brands that might fit differently that you have found? My mom told me that when I was little they had to have me wear boy jeans because they fit me better. Maybe I should try that?
Poor girl - I hate having the small of my back make pants fit weird. Maybe these are just cut funny - or is she doomed to wearing elastic pants the rest of her life? (haha)
Re: toddler jeans
Different brands definitely fit differently. I usually like to find jeans that have the adjustable waist bands. I'm also not opposed to elastic waist bands for my little one, but then again I'm not a fashionista so take it for what it's worth.
ETA: Forgot to rec jeans! Old Navy jeans usually work well for DD as do jeans from Kohls (but I can't remember the brand).

We have to have adjustable waist for jeans. We got a few pairs from CP, ON, K hols and Sa ms.
I recently ordered a pair from ON online with just an elastic band, and surprisingly, they fit great.
I just bought Jack some from ON and they have an elastic waist band.
Target carries jeans with adjustable waistbands as well.

Yep, both kids have TCP jeans because of the adjustable waistbands and I can usually get them on sale at a really good price.
