Intro - possible VBA2Cer

Hi!  I'm Dana - I have two children that were both C-sections.  Brandon was a semi-large baby (9 lbs 13 oz) and decided to poop inside me before entering the world.  He was taking his sweet time decending, and I eventually spiked a really high fever.  The doctor pushed for a c-section.

My daughter was 8lb 8 oz, and my doctor wasn't really open to do a VBAC but said she would allow me to if I went before my due date (which I didn't) so she "forced" me to have a c-section.  I wish I had searched other options before that!

But here I am - I found a new doctor with a midwife in his office that is willing to help me achieve my goal.  I am due around June 18th (my first appointment is Monday).  I look forward to hearing from you ladies and reading your success stories!

    Hi and welcome!  It sounds like you did the right thing by switching providers.  I hope you can continue to give us updates on everything as your pregnancy progresses.  Wishing you a healthy and happy 9 months!

    Congratulations on finding a supportive provider for a VBA2C!  My current midwife won't...though I hope her policies change over time.

    So exciting you have a supportive provider! I am always suprised how unsupportive OBs can be even of a VBAC! My entire OB practice (like 8 OBs and a midwife alltogether) are 100% supportive of my decision, and they were even the ones who reassured me that the guidelines recently changed and that even if something happens this time to prevent my VBAC, they will support a  VBA2C 100%!! Good luck!
