I took S to the Public Health clinic for her 1 year immunizations and well baby check. Poor thing was so happy and was chattering away and playing while the nurse got the shots ready. The nurse went throught the development checklist, S is doing fine. She weighed just short of 27lbs, and was 30.5". Still my chunky monkey.

Then she got 4 needles, and did fine with the first two, the second two stung and she shrieked at those, but for maybe 20 seconds. She pointed at the nurse and was muttering nononononono at her, which had me laughing. "No" and "my" (for "mine") are her two new favorite words. The 1 year shots always have me worried, but she only ran a fever for a day and the tylenol had her covered.We'll see how the next few days go!

    Awww... what a little trooper!

    And she weighs more at one year than my kid weighs at TWO!   Good job!

    Hoorray chubby baby, boo shots.  The gal who gives the vacines at the Health Department here has a complex because when the kids see her, they cry because they know what she does.

    Embarrassed Yeah, we do kinda grow them big. L was 32lbs and 36" at one, so he was the biggest. Unfortunately, with his condition, and the meds they have him on, he doesn't grow much now. But if C is interested, there's going to be a bunch of leggy amazons in our house..

    Best day today - S has no fever, no fussing and no bumps on the injection sites. Now just need to watch for rashes and we're good for a while!

    What a trooper for the shots!  DD is as tall as S, but weighed only 20# at her one year. But she does not say any words except Dada.   Great news for S!
