We are starting it with DD this year. She will be too young to understand the whole concept, but I know that she will LOVE looking for the elf in the mornings so I figured we would give it a start. Last time I was at Barnes and Noble I saw them.
We did it last year Megan was almost 3 and Ryan was 14 months and it was so fun! Even Ryan was looking for our elf in the mornings, smiling and pointing at him! I can't wait for this year since he's going to really get it too, so it will be even more fun to look for "Buddy" each morning :-)
I remember seeing them at Hallmark last year as well. Hoping they have them too because we plan to start this year. So excited, I even made a pinterest board to keep ideas.
We started it last year when DD was just over 2 and she loved it. She named him "Dodi" and still talks about him all the time. She is excited that he'll be coming back from the North Pole soon. Ditto PPs, B&N and Hallmark have had it in the past.
Oh, and fwiw, don't start it TOO early (like this month) b/c you will quickly run out of fun hiding places. We started too early last year and Dodi would stay in one hiding place for a few days sometimes b/c I would forget or could not think of another "Safe" place for him.
Can I buy one locally? Is Gracie too young for it this year?
. We plan on doing it this year too. Btw, I recognize sweet Gracie from Sunday, it was nice to meet you. She is too cute for words.
Awww, thanks! It was great to meet you as well! Glad Gracie didn't scare you off with the epic tantrum throwing
haha...oh trust me, E has the redheaded temper. I have seen my fair share of temper tantrums. It's always so much cuter when it's someone else's child. And makes me breath a sigh of relief that mine isn't the only one.

B&N carried it last year!
Not sure when to start since Andrew is only 7-months old but I was at the Northwest Hills Pharmacy on 360 yesterday and they had some.
