Stay at Home Moms

SAHM fail.

I have no yoga pants. Or pajama pants. Or any kind of pants that are comfier and more casual than jeans.

I'm realizing this now because it's frikkin cold outside and I have nothing to wear around the house!

(sigh) To the store it is!

Re: SAHM fail.

  • I refuse to wear "mom" pants and watch soap operas. I hate stereotypes and refuse to succumb to them.

Target has some nice ones, not that I'm saying I have any or anything...

  • I have two pairs of yoga pants, but I only wear them to actually exercise.  I am wearing a skirt, as I do most days.
  • You'd have to wait for these, but my all time favorite yoga pants are from Victoria's Secret. They are so comfy and look great and hold up well. Have fun shopping- I love wearing yoga pants at home. :)

  • I posted a few weeks ago on 3-6 to see what other moms wear and got two helpful recs: someone suggested the Nike perfect fit pants and the target yoga pants. I figured I would start with the target version and "upgrade" to the Nike version as a reward once I start making some progress on my pp weight loss. Another option I found @ target is jeggings. More forgiving and stretchy at the waist than regular jeans but you won't feel like you're too casual if you prefer to be wearing regular non-yoga pants when out and about.

  • If I'm home, I'm in cute sweats or yoga pants.  I LOVE COMFORT.
  • Ack!  SAHM fail, here, too.

My cupboards are lacking bon bons.  Big Smile

  • Yeah, I desperately need some yoga pants as I lost my old pair. Of course, they were 10+ years old so it was probably time to replace anyway...

  • I also don't own yoga pants!  But I'm a sweatpants in the house kinda girl.  I very rarely leave the house in sweatpants, though, unless it is to an athletic activity.

  • I love my yoga pants! I will wear them all day if I am not leaving the house but for some reason I refuse to go out in them. I see other mamas out running errands in their yoga pants while I am in jeans or dress pants and am jealous. I don't know why I am not okay leaving the house in them but I just can't do it.
  • Last year as a gift my mom bought me a Juicy Coture sweat suit and I LOVE it. It's lasted through many many washed and still fits exactly the same. The color hasn't faded (black) She bought it at the outlet for $50. It's basic with no print. I love those sweats much better than my VS PINK sweats.

  • I love my leggings and yoga pants, especially now with pregnancy.  I have the hardest time finding jeans that I actually feel are comfortable.

  • I'm all about comfort.  I can't chase after my kid and play on the floor/outside/whatever with him when I'm trying to be cute.  They won't remember how cute I was they will remember being on the floor wrestling and building forts.

  • You ladies are fancy.  If I leave the house in jeans I am very dressed up.  I just can't bring myself to put on nice clothes to have my son drool and snot all over everything.

  • Are the Target pants long? I'm tall (5' 10") and have a really hard time finding pants that are long enough. I can shop for jeans in long sizes, but yoga pants, sweats, and pjs don't have that option. That being said, at home I'm in pjs and a tshirt w/ a sports bra. I get dressed (jeans, real bra, shirt) to leave my house even for the grocery store, but when I get home it's back into pjs.

I love my Target yoga pants. And yes, they come in 3 different lengths, short, regular, and long. I'd think that could work for being 5'10"? I'm only 5'4" and wear the regulars.

I will have to check them out too! I didn't know the Target ones came in longs (I am 5'9"). BFab- Victoria Secret yoga pants come in longs also, that is what I have, but they are probably more expensive than Target.

  • I love yoga pants for around the house and for errands sometimes...usually I'm in jeggings/skinny jeans or dresses though. Even around the house.
  • Yeah, you need a pair.  I have a cropped pair from Kohl's and a maternity pair from Gap that I just adore (seriously).  Thankfully DH likes me in them too  Wink

Ditto- it might change when they are older or what not- but right now I am constantly on the floor and getting messy- with art and science projects (I am VERY hands on and mess doesn't bother me- I encourage it...)- So I wear track pants/yoga pants often.
