November 2011 Moms

World's shortest birth story, PIP

I posted on the 31st that our beautiful baby boy, Thomas Michael, was born at 8:05am on Halloween via RCS.  He was 7lbs, 2oz and 20.5 inches long.  There is absolutely nothing "exciting" or unexpected about his birth!  I checked into the hospital at 6am, was wheeled to the OR at 7:30, and everything went like clockwork.  Recovery was absolutely easier than the first time (which went really well, too).

Getting back into the swing of things with a newborn is taking some adjustment (!) but DH and I did shifts through the night.  Our daughter, 22 months, is so excited he's here, but she's not always gentle.  Plus, my 100lb Weimaraner is obsessed and just wants to be near the baby.

Beautiful Thomas

The first meeting.  DD just really wanted her waffle back.

And this is introducing Hoot.

Thanks for reading!  I know it's really not that exciting, but I wanted to share anyway.  Congratulations on all the November moms that have already had their babies, and good luck to those still waiting.
