"I'm pregnant"... "Not your not" -_- "Yes I am"

I hate that I had to prove my pregnancy to my boss who didn't believe me. And am getting a little frustrated with ppl telling me that I am not... April Fools Day is not until next year... Who would lie aboout that? I mean do I have to bring my EPT test and waive it all around the dealership in which I work... lol (I wont do that) Has anyone else encountered this issue. Its hard to ignore the comments? How to deal with this?

  • Just show them your ultra sound picture. OR, wait until you start showing and tell them "booyah beotches"...lol

  • Wow, sounds like a great group of people to work with.  I would never dream of telling someone I didn't believe they were pregnant.  Sorry you are going through that.

  • Ummm - WHAT?! I can't even imagine someone (especially an employer) doubting it - and to your face no less. I'm with a PP, do you have HR there? That's unacceptable!

  • What a**holes.  Who cares if they don't believe you now.  In a few weeks you'll start to show and they won't be able to deny it.  I wouldn't give them the satisfaction of showing them the u/s pic or anything like that.

  • My school superintendent, according to our contract, won't sign off on maternity leave without a note from your doctor with your EDD. They won't just take your word for it.

This is pretty common.  That being said, my superintendent did not for one second doubt my pregnancy- he just gave me the paper work to give to my OB.

I think this sort of thing is kind of common. No one I work with doubted that I was pregnant, I just had to have paperwork filled out by my doctor for my maternity leave stuff to be approved. (Health insurance stuff, STD insurance, etc)

  • A dealership?  I'm not really surprised.  Aren't those filled with men who take nothing seriously???  Bring a note and be done with it.  There are more important things to worry about.  And I'd be prepared for more of the same, just in case.
