Hey gals I know you don't know me at all but I posting on here was the first thing I could think of doing because I had to tell SOMEONE and my husband is out for the evening. The 9-12 board sent me here!
My baby Avery just turned a year old on Sunday and I just POAS and its POSITIVE. Ya. I had an IUD in for about 9 months and I had it removed due to complications. I was going to go back on my birth control once I had one cycle without the IUD. I had my cycle on Sept 13th and nothing since. I took a pg test last week and came up negative. Not anymore.
So I am freaking out because Avery is just a year old and I don't want to cheat her out of being my "baby" by having this other child so soon. Don't get me wrong, he or she is VERY welcome. It's just that this was NOT planned. Any advice? Thanks.
Ps. It's taken me forever to write this because I am shaking! How should I tell hubby?
Re: Intro and freaking out a bit!
First of all, congrats!
Second of all, you will NOT cheat your DD out of being a baby because you're pregnant already. We started trying for #2 when #1 was around 7 months old and got the BFP when they were around 8.5 months old. They are 16.5 months apart and are so close. DC1 has been an awesome big sibling and now that they are 1 and 2.5 it is so much fun to see them together. Plus you still have 9 months ahead of you to enjoy your older child and there is a HUGE difference between a 1 year old and a 21 month old. And it is so cliche but so true that your heart grows with every kid, I still get plenty of momma snuggles with my oldest. We have special time together when my youngest naps in the morning
I've always just handed my DH the pee stick and let him see the "pregnant" on it
Its kind of become tradition. Sorry I'm not more creative!
Congrats!! I just handed hubbs the stick and said Merry Christmas. : )
If you don't mind me being nosy , what kind of IUD complications did you have? I had the Mirena and it was awful. Just had it removed and now things are WORSE.
Ugh.
Enough about me though! You will not be cheating DD out of being the baby. She will be getting more and more independent everyday. : ) and you're giving her such a wonderful gift .
Anyways- Congrats to you and wishing you a happy and healthy 9months!
