Anyone have the BJ City Select with the 2nd seat?
Did you use it with the infant carseat adapter? (Even better if you also have a Peg Perego 30-30!)
Give me the down low! The good, the bad and the ugly, please.
I am currently leaning towards this over the P&T Vibe. (In fact, I don't really see how you can even add the carseat on the Vibe using it as a double. More research later, it looks like you can add a carseat with the P&T Explorer, so does anyone have that one?)
If it matters, our sons will be 18 months apart.

Thank you! Awesome review. Now let me harass you with comments and questions.
This cracked me up: "I get more ?ohhhhh. We had nothing so luxurious as that when I had children? from 55+ women than I ever thought possible with this stroller. It is as if they think the stroller comes home with me, does my laundry, and cooks me dinner? but I digress?"
It made me know that we would get along IRL. Haha. We get the same sort of comments about our Indie (in Ruby) and refer to it as our son's chariot. We'll probably be the bold people with the red City Select.
I saw that you mentioned that you also have a double BOB. Is that what you take on long walks/runs? I doubt I will ever be a runner again due to major knee problems, but I do love a brisk walk and do 'stroller bootcamp.' I love how my Indie handles in these situations. Am I looking at getting a 2nd double? (Just need to prepare my husband.)
Also, in some of the reviews I've read, people stated that they felt like the carseat wasn't really secure like in a snap-n-go. What was your experience with this?
Thank you again. Your review really was helpful.
I have the CS and double BOB. I like both for different reasons.
The CS is great for small places like the mall and I love that I don't have to use a double when out with just one kid. DS1 goes to school 3 days a week so I'm a 1 kid momma those 3 days. It's nice not to drag a full double around. I love the basket on the CS too. The down side to me is the cup holder situation. The one cup holder I kill on every door and the parent console idnd't work well with the second seat at the top especially since dS2 likes to face me. He kept trying to kick the thing. That's my biggest complaint with it. Another issue I'm having now is DS1 is a big boy for his age and he barely fits in the seat now at 28 months old. He's tall and his knees are in his chest. It's not bad for quick trips but we can't take it to disney anymore b/c he will not sleep in it.
The BOB I use for runs, goign to the zoo or festivals, long walks etc. We also use it at Disney World now b/c DS1 fits better in it. DS2 isn't thrilled about it but he deals or I put him in the ergo. It's hte easiest stroller ever to handle. I can run or walk with one hand to push it. But it is a beast of a stroller to get in/out of th ecar. I have a lexus RX and I have to pop the front wheel up on the back of the seat to get it to fit.
Do you have the Baby Jogger brand console? I just bought the CS, but I'm thinking of getting the Stroll-Air Stroller Organizer instead of the BJ one after reading mixed reviews of it on amazon.

Thanks for all of the feedback. I ordered the City Select on Monday due to finding a ridiculous deal.
Before ordering it, we were able to test it out in a store WITH the carseat adapter and our infant seat. The infant seat seemed very secure, so I am not sure what the previous review I read was even talking about. It definitely seemed just as secure as a snap-n-go.
I figured that we would be getting a 2nd stroller for long walks and 'bootcamp.'
Yes, I take my BOB on long walks and runs. The BJCS basically stays in my car and my BOB stays in my garage. I use them both pretty much every day
. I live in an older neighborhood and the curbs are not graded... the BJCS is tough on un-graded curbs and after about a month of trying to use it for that I finally bit the bullet and got a BOB. I love them both.
You can't run with the BJCS (especially in doubles mode) but if you are doing walks in an area that is flat and graded you might be okay. My advice is to see how it goes and make the decision when you have tried using the BJCS.
As for the carseat, I felt comfortable with the carseat. You have to be more careful about how you place the carseat and strap it down (it isn't like a snap 'n go where you can just snap it in and not pay attention) but if you do it correctly it is totally fine. I was never concerned and I am a worry wort about that kind of thing.
GOOD LUCK!
