Not sure if it matters to you, but we drive two SUV's. (A Hyundai, Santa Fe and a Jeep Grand Cherokee.) We're having twins and I'm wondering what the car seat placement would be in our vehicles. I know that ideally the center position is best, but with two, I'm not sure what you're supposed to do. Thanks for your responses!
Re: Car seat placement for twins
When I had my oldest honestly it was complicated to get him in and out of our passat when he was in the middle. So he was always on the side behind the passenger. When we had our twins we ended up having to put them in the back of our van and just removing one captin chair in the middle. It was more difficult to try and put our oldest in his seat and buckle him up then it was to just put the twins in the back. Now we have a Durango so I have my oldest, who's in a booster, and one twin in the back of the car and one twin behind the driver seat. It seems to work out for us
It will be easy to deal with one on each side of the car. Dont worry about it "not being safe". They will be fine
In my Honda Accord I had one in the middle and one behind the passenger seat because it was a pain to get either of them out anyway.
In my Subaru Outback I have one behind the driver and one behind the passenger. This configuration is SO much easier.
This.
The girls' car seats are on each side. For one, they wouldn't fit side by side (Britax Boulevards) and two, how could I choose which daughter would have the "safer" spot in the truck?
I think unless you have a Sunshine Radian or something equally as thin, you wouldn't be able to safely put two car seats side by side.
31 weeks! Holy crap girly! Time flies doesn't it?
Looks like it'll be one on each side. Thanks for the responses!
I know!!! I can't believe how fast everything is going. Seems like just yesterday I was thinking that I had plenty of time. Now my Doctor is saying 3-5 more weeks and not going past 38 weeks.
