Our adoption story. (first share)

This is my first time posting and our adoption process has been a bit unusual but I thought I would share.

My adoption story actually begins when I was 9 years old, the year my family adopted my newest little brother and sister through foster care. As a biologial child to my parents I was always incouraged to be a part of the adoption process and understood that it wasn't just my Mom and Dad adopting a child but that I was also adopting a brother and sister.

The story continues to March 2010 when we lost our Mom and shortly after in september 2010 also lost our Father. Now being a married adult we were able to open up our home to have my little sister come live with us.  I still remember the day they told us that we were going to be able to adopt her. I wrote her a letter... I'm not sure that I will ever give it to her... but it was part of my process, I was very excited!

It hasn't been a 100% easy adapting to raising a teenager, but she is the best teenager anyone could ask for. As of this month  we will finalize the adoption and she will belong to our family forever.

 It has been really awesome having the oportunity to adopt her twice! Our lives would never have been complete with out her.  Thanks for reading!
