I am looking for a little advice from the group of ladies that over 35 and prego~ I am trying to get pregnant with my first and I am young 36, had a M/C at 8.5 weeks in March 2011 and I have been on clomid since June at 100mg. They tested my fsh levels the month after my M/C and they came back at 15.2 and I am wondering if their are any ladies out there who have got pregnant with higher fsh levels and being on clomid? Also they test my progesterone levels last month and they came back at 39.2. Thank you for your help

I had a baby when I was 35 and he was conceived really easily. However, while trying for baby #2, we were finding that I was having a hard time staying pregnant -- I had 3 early miscarriages. I finally went in and got checked out at the age of 38 and discovered that my FSH level was 14. I started going to a fertility doctor. We tried a round of IUI with meds (it was unsuccessful as I only produced 3 eggs -- and only one was viable) and a round of IVF (with donor eggs) and that also was unsuccessful. We had another round of IVF (with donor eggs) scheduled for this summer, but while waiting for this round, I unexpectedly got pregnant on my own. I'll be 32 weeks pregnant as of tomorrow and everything is looking good. BTW when I turned 40, my FSH level was at 19....
FYI -- as soon as I found out I was pregnant I went into the fertility doctor and she put me on progesterone which I took for the entire first trimester (about 13 weeks). I'm not sure if that was the trick that kept me pregnant (and I don't even recall if my progesterone levels were low in the first place), but I'm just glad that everything worked out. Progesterone was the only thing I took with this pregnancy and it has seemed to work.
Good luck to you. Don't give up hope... I'm 40 and pregnant with a high FSH level. It can and will happen for you!
I'm so sorry for your loss.
Something that would help is to put your information in your signature. The ladies on this board and especially on TTC 35+ are really knowledgeable and happy to help with "newbie" type questions.
Unfortunately, I don't have much advice about FSH levels so I won't be much help with this answer. Don't hesitate to XP over at TTC35+ if you haven't already. Some of the posters over there are more knowledgeable than my regular OB about IF.
