Ugh. Molly has nasal congestion and a fever (101.4). I've given her Tylenol to reduce her fever and she's been eating/sleeping fine. Obviously, she's more tired than usual, but between naps, she's in good spirits.
Would you go to the pedi or wait it out a couple of days?
Re: Woud you see the pedi?
We just saw the pedi for this yesterday. But mainly I went because DS was also complaining of a sore throat, so I wanted to have him tested for strep since there were a few cases of it in his school over the past week or so. He was neg for strep, so Dr. said it's just a virus he picked up and give him a few days and he'll be over it.
Since Molly is too little to tell you if her throat hurts, you might consider whether she has possibly been exposed to strep (she goes to MDO, right?). If so, I'd take her just to rule it out. If you don't think she's been exposed, or she's not acting like she's in pain or uncomfortable, I would probably wait it out a few days. (I remember DS had strep at 9 months, and I could tell just by looking at his eyes and how he held his mouth that he was in pain.)
