bowel movement once every few days?

anyone have a baby who doesn't go once a day? Since last month he has been going a few days of one time per day and then there will be a stretch of several days with nothing and then the cycle repeats. Supposedly this is normal but does anyone else have a baby like this?

My understanding is that can be normal for a breastfed baby who is a couple months old.

It has been the same for my daughter since she had her 2 month shots. Somedays she goes 4 or 5 times, and the next day she won't go at all. I've been assured that this is completely normal.

My pediatrician specifically said this is normal for some BF babies as long as they are eating normally and having several wet diapers each day.

Yep, its normal. My daughter will sometimes go 2 days between. Her pedi said it was a normal thing for breastfeed babies.

DD only had one BM every 8 days by the time she was 2 months old. The pediatrician said not to worry about it as long as it was soft and not like rabbit pebbles. She outgrew it once she got onto solid foods.

My BF baby went TWO WEEKS without a bowel movement. I called every other day to her pediatrician because I was so freaked out by it. He told me if she didn't seem in distress to wait it out. She still goes about every 5-6 days now but never as long as the two week stretch.

DD goes every 3-4 days. She went 9 days without before and the pedi was fine with it as long as she was still eating and content.

My l/o is FF(gerber goodstart gentle) and he goes once every 2 days..last time he went was monday afternoon...still hasennt gone today. He has really stinky farts and some gas-At first I was worried but the ped said constipation is the consistency of the bowel movement- not the number of days..his poos are all soft.

I EBF and my daughter goes 1 every 5 days or so. With my son, I also EBF, he was going 3 times a day. Doctor said this is ok and to keep her regular I need to give her 1 oz of prune juice with 1 oz of water.
