Postpartum Depression

Tuesday Check In

Usually "ksspff" does a Monday check in..but I didn't see one, so I thought I would take this week over from her and do a Tuesday check in.

Intros welcome!

For those of you who have already done your intro here are a few more questions.

1.What have you read, if anything, to help with your PPD or learn about it?

2.Do you plan on having more children?

3.What are you looking forward to this holiday season?

I know the questions don't really relate...LOL

  • Thanks, Vickycat.  All three of us have been sick in varying degrees since Saturday night. blugh.  Here's hoping 2/3 of us will be good enough to go to work/daycare tomorrow!

     1) The website postpartumprogress, blogs from women who have experienced it. dooce.com, heirtoblair.com

    2) Yes.....
my pregnancy was horrible.  So for a while that was the deciding factor.  Then having a newborn was SO HARD, and that was an addition to the 'nay' column.  But life is going much better now. it's manageable.  That magic that makes a mom forget how bad all that other stuff was is working some.  So yes.  One more, but not anytime real soon.

    3) getting to spend time with all of my family at the same time.  I miss them!  Introductig Elizabeth to all of our family traditions and making up some  new ones just for our family.

  • Sorry, I'm a day late.  I was at a conference yesterday so not able to bump.

1.What have you read, if anything, to help with your PPD or learn about it?  I've also read Brooke Shields book . Also, although not PPD related,I've been reading Who Moved My Cheese. My child changes on a day to day basis so it helps me adapt.

2.Do you plan on having more children? Not sure.  I see babies and I want another one, but then think about the PPD and I don't know if I can do it all over again.  I am now feeling like I'm coming out of the "fog", but thinking about how I was in the beginning and I get anxious all over again.

3.What are you looking forward to this holiday season? Spending time with family and experiencing it with my LO.
