My stepmom emailed me asking what I wanted - here's the super lame list that I finally sent her...
Any of these nail polish colors (I can't get them here):
- OPI Passion, Road House Blues, I'm Not Really A Waitress and French Quarter For Your Thoughts
- Chanel Graphite and Blue Satin
Stone coasters - Will managed to break several of the ones we were given a few years ago, and I can't find replacements here. I like these and these.
Any of the Penguin Hardcover Classics. Pretty pretty!
Not the most exciting list, I know! For some reason I really struggled to come up with things this year.
What super expensive/crazycakes/only-in-my-dreams items are on your wish list?
A new laptop. Not happening until I actually need it for school again next year. I have expensive taste and like 17" screens and full keyboards.
Well, that and an all-expenses paid week long trip to Bora Bora for myself and Ben. Because that will happen.

I haven't given much thought to Christmas lists yet, but there is this jacket I have been eyeing up at Macy's. I really like it, but it doesn't have pockets. Would that be a deal breaker for you?

I also want more shutters in the house. We put shutters in all of the "community" areas of the house, but there are still a few rooms I would like to put them in. They are just so darn expensive.
as for crazycakes...that trip to Bora Bora doesn't sound bad at all. I'll put that on my list too...there or really any place tropical!
What realistic items are on your wish list?
Gift cards to places I can buy work clothes, New sudoku book(s), a financial planning book, a Hoberman sphere, random parenting books, new winter coat is good to add to that list. I'm so lame, I know. I more want stuff for my kid or for the house - new bedding or somethign like that.
What super expensive/crazycakes/only-in-my-dreams items are on your wish list?
New laptop here too - I've been trying to revive the old one, but I'm losing steam.
Trip to Sandals/Beaches would be awesome, but since we just found out Monday night that our kid is afraid of masks, perhaps a place with characters is out of the question for now anyway.
a bunch of intangible things like more hours in a day, a different jobbie-job, the ability to sleep while I'm awake doing stuff, etc.
Totally would be a dealbreaker for me! But I don't carry a purse and I lose gloves (well one glove, never the whole pair) like they are socks in the dryer, so maybe my opinion shouldn't hold that much weight. hehe
That coat is so cute that I wish I could say I'd be down with no pockets...but I think after like 3 wearings, I'd be all, "Dammit! I wish this thing had pockets!"

You guys always have such great ideas. I can never think of anything good.
For realistic: probably just some stuff for the LO. Or maybe new clothes for me. My maternity wear is all too big, and my pre-preg stuff is just a teensy too small. Blargh.
In my dreams: All expenses paid trip somewhere like Bora Bora, St. Lucia (Jade Mountain!), maybe a really long trip around Europe?
(Semi) realistic, I really want the Kate Spade Denise diaper bag. I saw it a month or so ago and fell in love. I can't stop thinking about it. I've texted a pic of the bag, the tag (so he's knows the style #) and also links to where it can be purchased. MH doesn't do subtle, so I have to be very obvious. We'll see, I guess!
In my dreams......an iPad. Or a trip back to HI.
Realistic?
I would like to have our piano tuned for the holidays so I can play it for Libby and we can sing carols, etc.
And a maternity and newborn photo session...just found out our photog is moving out of state so I have find a new one and all the ones I like are $$$$$! I really want digital images with rights and my photog charges $250 for 30-40 edited hi-res images on CD...these others? $800-1400! WTF? And their session fees are like $300+ whereas my other photog was $100.
Other things I want are for our home...new light fixtures...new blinds...

Vitamix! I saw a demo at Whole Foods last week and I'm sold, especially since Kaya has been kinda boycotting veggies lately. Gotta sneak them into a smoothie for her (and me!)

Trips to Japan, Europe, or Australia.
A couple new lenses - 85 mm 1.2 or 100 mm 2.8L macro. (Both pretty $$$ so I'll probably settle for the cheaper versions).
