Jade for a boy?

SIL finds out the sex tomorrow. We were talking names last night and they love the name Jade so they're using it as a girl mn. They don't have any boy names picked out but mentioned Jade for a boy. I always thought it was a girl name only. Thoughts?

The long time boyfriend of Emma Bunton, Baby Spice from the Spice Girls, name is Jade. I remember he was in a boyband in the UK about ten years ago.

I don't really like the name in general, my DH suggested it once but I vetoed it. It's harmless in the mn position though, like your SIL would use it for a girl.
