QOTW: How are u spending ur evenings, now that it's dark so early?
MFI Weekly Check In
This group is for those of us dealing with male factor issues. We
welcome everyone but mostly we are dealing with low count, motility, morphology or all three. Male infertility is a mysterious world filled with questions no one, including REs, urologists, acupuncturists or anyone else seem to have the answers to. Any treatment suggested is a coin toss for success and a 3 month wait for a fresh batch of swimmers. Most of us are told the only answer is IUI or IVF w/ICSI. The purpose of this group is to support each other through shared experiences and to share any info we can because the more informed we are the better. We have a check in every Sunday night/ Monday morning but I will try to post a link later in the afternoon/evening also. Welcome and baby dust to all!

update-BFN last week for IUI #7. Decided to do IVF in late summer/early fall 2012 but that may be pushed back due to $$.
So we are in a holding pattern now. For now, DH will get an updated SA as the last one he had was June 2010. We want to see if his numbers improved at all.
In the meantime, we will be both doing acupuncture and herbs since we are on a long break until we can save up enough $$ for IVF. Then once we are closer to doing IVF get another SA.
He still needs to go see a urologist....he keeps cancelling it.
How are u spending ur evenings, now that it's dark so early?
Well, I am studying for a certification exam that has taken up most of my evenings but I will be taking the exam on Saturday. Usually we just veg and stay indoors. Now that we have a house, it may be more of prepping things for the colder weather. Also, we need to organize our basement. It is a mess and full of boxes.
Update: On BCPs for IVF3. Had my hysteroscopy today and day 3 b/w last Saturday. All is good to continue. Estimated ER beginning of December.
QOTW: I have been hanging out with DH. He has surgery on his achilles last week so we have been couch potatoes. I also walk my dog in the evenings - usually with the neighbour and her pooch.
update: Mock transfer on Thursday this week. Also expecting to receive trigger shot and Lupron in the mail that day. Suppose to start Lupron on 11/13! Let's get the shots over with!!!!!
QOTW: I was travelling a bunch. But we'll watch our netflix and I like to knit. There is so always video games too!

May I join? My H has low motility and low morph and based on Dr. Google, I'm pretty sure a varicoele. We see the uro on 12/23 and the RE on 12/16.

I hope the timing works out for you and DH as well! If everything aligns, what is your estimated ER? Maybe we will be cycle buddies?
Update: ER was today, so we are hoping we'll have good news and a 5dt next Sunday.
QOTW: I usually like to cook comfort foods. We've been watching a lot of movies, too. Pretty much hibernating!
Re-join/update: I joined in 2009 and I am listed above as BFP on IVF #1. I would like to rejoin and update saying that I just POAS after my FET and got a BFP! My first Beta is Thursday.
Someone also told me there was an azoo check in, but I haven't been able to find it.
QOTD: My Baby Boot Camp class is moving from the park (with no lights) to my instructor's backyard. That is really my only change.
DH: dx azoo 8/3/09 found out DH has CBAVD due to Cystic Fibrosis on 8/18/09

Severe MFI. Me: supposedly all clear but eggs showed vacuoles.
IVF #1 January 2012, ER Jan 14th: 34R, 27M, 23F. Day 3: 18 embies still strong. Day 5: zero "good," one "fair," the rest "poor." Transferred 3. None made it to blast or to freeze. Jan 28: BFN.
Lucky IVF #2: Transferred two beautiful day three embies on St. Patrick's Day. BFP on HPT 7dp3dt. Beta 1 (14dpER)=106; Beta 2 (16dpER)=140; Beta 3 (19dpER)=264! First u/s 4.17.
