Eh. Just eh. We got a couple of cute ones. It was hard since he is all over the place now. I saw some of their Christmas cards there and now I am debating on getting those done instead of doing them myself.
How was the pumpkin patch and petting zoo?
I agree, it was much harder then when I did 3 month prof pics. She was all over the place, and irritated with strangers trying to make her laugh.
I am PI's friend on FB and I see they are running a special with the Christmas cards. Ugh. I just spent 80 dollars there for 9 months, I dred going back again for Christmas. I think I should just wait till 1 year. I always have good intentions of not spending much, but it never happens.
I hope you can post some of the pics when you can, love to see them.
IME, Portrait Innovations is totally hit or miss.
We were really, really happy with her 3 month shots with my parents... the photog took the time to set her up really well, get her smiling, try different setups with different props, etc.
We went back a month later with H's parents, and it was terrible. I made an appointment and we had to wait no exaggeration an hour and a half before we got seen, so of course by then Joaquin is hungry and doesn't want to sit still. I took her away and fed her (5 minutes tops), and they'd kicked us out of that studio by the time we got back. By the time they got us into a different studio a half hour later (not telling us that this is when we should change outfits so we only got one outfit) of course Joaquin is cranky and amped up again because it's been like 3 hours since she had a nap. And the photog had the gall to cop an attitude because she wasn't taking good pictures. It was really unprofessional in a lot of ways, and the pictures weren't too hot.
People constantly complain on the FB page about having to wait. I never have, but I have gone on odd days like a Tuesday morning. I heard they take walk-ins? Maybe this is why they have people waiting so long, and that is not a good policy.
I've tagged along with my sister at Sears, JC Penny and other chain place. I think it can be crappy where ever you go.
I have not had any problems there either. Although, there have been some people there who seem better than others. I do imagine that it would be the same at all places. Broc - I would be super po'd if I had been you.
I would like to try an independent photographer sometime. I keep thinking about doing that for some good family shots, but then I never want to be in the family shots. Whoops!
