medi-cal and pediatrician

i have to get my baby on medi-cal and i know there is a clinic to get his shots so i can keep up on that. but how do i get a doc i can call whenever i have questions. cause the clinic is only open mon;wed;and friday. what if i have a question in between or he needs to be seen that day

I don't know about Calif, but on my states Medicaid plan I was covered by a regular insurer, so I logged onto their website to view information about doctors who accepted it, what was covered, choose a primary care physician, etc.
