Breastfeeding

After pumping?

So my husband is away at the moment but will be returning home soon and I wanted to start pumping so he can feed DD when he returns.

So I fed DD and put her down and started pumping a little after that and of course she wakes up hungry... So I finished pumping (for the first time) and got a little over 2 ounces. She just ate half of that....

So my question is.... how long does it take for you get your supply back in after you pump?!

Re: After pumping?

  • What pp said..your body is constantly making milk. It may not be as full but there is still milk in there. And if she doesn't seem satisfied you can always offer an ounce or two after in a bottle. I just pumped for 30 minutes and my dd just woke up and was still able to nurse.
