The sippy cup post got me wondering... What kind of water do you give baby? We use Gerber water in his bottles, so would we use that or tap or filtered or bottled like we drink? I know must really be overthinking this! Lol
Unless you're on private well water (in which case you should get it tested to confirm safety), any water that's safe for you is safe for your healthy baby.
A baby doesn't need much water yet, though. Just to play with, pretty much.
I would research nursery water first... We don't use that and it is actually not recommended, especially when teeth come in. That said, we use bottle water even though our water is safe. I hate tap water.
DD's ped told me today that if she likes drinking it, she's OK to drink as much as she wants (as long as it's not in place of her meals), and that she'd stop when she doesn't want any more. I give her formula and baby food, and she mostly plays with her sippy cup, but she drinks MAYBE 1 ounce - 1.5 ounces. She drinks bottled & so do we.
