Possible not to get postive ovulation test?

This is our first month TTC#3, I am charting, but started a little late this month, I will be much better next month if we dont get a BFP.  So far I havent had a postive test, but yesterday and this morningI had really bad O pain.  I remember from when we were trying for our first I always ovulated around CD19, so hopefully its the same. Back then I rarely got positive Ovulation tests either, anyone experience this? I know its silly, but it just feels discouraging to never see those 2 lines or a smiley face.

    Yes, it is possible to miss the hormone surge when testing.

    Yes Maybe try testing twice per day..

    Patiently waiting for our 1st since 9/2010.
    Dealing with MFI, good count, good motility, 3% morph-HSG all clear, all other test results came back normal, IUI is our next step
    May 2012- Clomid 50mg + IUI = BFN
    June- Cycle Break
    July- Forced cycle break due to cysts
    August- Femara, Trigger, IUI#2= ?

    Yep! I had a few months when I first started testing, that I didn't get positives. It could be that you have a short period for a surge and you are missing it.

    TTC #1 since March 2010

    DH - SA = Low Morphology. Great overall count.

    August 2012: HSG - All Clear

    September 2012: Timed Intercourse 100 mg Clomid CD 4-8 w/ Repronex & HCG Injections = BFN

    October 2012: Timed Intercourse 100 mg Clomid CD 4-8 = BFN

    September 2013: New Doctor: 50 mg Clomid CD 5-9 & IUI #1 = BFN

    October 2013: 50 mg Clomid CD 3-7 & IUI #2 = BFN 

    November 2013 to ??? = On a mental break for now.

    Same goes for me. I have yet to get a positive OPK. I still get my temp rise, so I know I'm ovulating.

    For me, morning worked best. I took one with FMU until they started getting darker (this doesn't happen for everyone, but did for me). Once they started getting darker I did both FMU and 4-5 PM. GL!

    The cycle I used them, I tested twice per day and never got a +.  Since it was also my BFP cycle, I obviously had Oed and just missed it.
